Project: Regional tree Planting
Project Summary
Our city wide tree planting project has a goal to develop, enhance, maintain, and monitor tree plantings throughout San Diego's 18 incorporated cities and unincorporated areas. We work with community leaders and local governments to implement tree planting initiatives in a timeline manner and developing iTree reports for climate action planners for GHG reduction reporting. Most tree planting programs have a range of economic, social, and environmental benefits. To learn more about the benefits of trees please visit our facts page.

Deliverables for citywide tree plantings range from simple installments of trees to educational workshops and outreach activities to build volunteer capacity for local governments. Tree San Diego utilizes the support of Urban Corps of San Diego, local governments, and community groups to accomplish large-scale tree planting projects.
